Adaptive Kalman Filter for Noise Cancellation
Summary: The client had a Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) grant from the NIH (entitled "EEG Data Monitoring System Used in Conjunction with fMRI"). Phase 1 of this SBIR was done in collaboration with Dr. Giorgio Bonmassar of Massachusetts General Hospital's Martinos Center. The purpose of the SBIR was to implement a realtime filter as part of a function MRI study. The filter used was the Kalman adaptive filter found in the Matlab DSP Blockset. This filter was implemented in C and tested. Later it would be implemented in the Analog Devices Blackfin DSp processor for realtime implementation. The purpose of the filter was to remove the noise artifacts caused by patient head motion in the high magnetic field associated with an MRI.
Technologies used: Microsoft Visual Studio.Net
Client: TechEn, Inc., for Massachusetts General Hospital
