GUI and Data Acquisition for Near-InfraRed Imaging Using Matlab
Summary: Massachusetts General Hospital had been working with the client to develop a Near InfraRed System (NIRS) to be used in brain imaging. They used the Matlab GUI and Data Acquisition Toolbox. The person that did the original development changed jobs, so they needed me to debug pieces of the application to get it to work with new hardware.
The system ran on a notebook computer using an analog-to-digital converter, PC-Card from ComputerBoards (now Measurement Computing), their DAS16/16. An updated driver was required for the PC-Card to allow the system to run under Windows 2000. In addition, some minor tweaking was required to properly trigger the developed hardware with this PC-Card.
Technologies used: Matlab GUI using the Data Acquisition Toolbox
Client: TechEn, Inc., for Massachusetts General Hospital
